About Me

I have been teaching in Primary Schools in East Riding and Hull for 12 years. In that time, I have been involved as a member of the SLT (Senior Leadership Team) in 4 different schools as well as teaching across all age groups in KS2. I have also been a Deputy Headteacher, Child Protection Officer, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), KS2 Co-ordinator and subject lead in Maths, Science, Geography, ICT and E-safety.

Whilst I have enjoyed the experience in all of these roles, my favourite aspect of this career has always been helping children to overcome difficulties and feel confident and positive about their own learning. My ethos is to ensure that when a child leaves my class or tutorage they are motivated to be aspirational and enthusiastic learners for life. I am quickly able to build a great rapport and trust with each child to ensure that they can thrive in a safe and positive learning environment.
